How to shoot a professional video simply

Here is a sample of just a person talking... in a simple background. Notice that the camera man zoom in sometimes and out again? He crops her in different ways and makes her interesting in a very simple setting. Yet, it is not distracting, you are pretty much engaged with what she is saying. In this video interview filmed by Dezeen in 2009 for the Super Contemporary exhibition at the Design Museum in London, architect Eva Jiricna talks about her move to London in the 1960s and her big break working on the Lloyds building.
