Words Can Hurt

Words. How words can make or break any relationships. I was thinking of daughters/sons to Moms/Pops, husbands and wives, friends to friends, employers to employees.... (the closer people are, how each take one another for granted, how we assume that it is alright to speak careless... how destructive words can be to a person, if it is not well thought out.. The negative words can have a lasting impact if you let it... and it will affect how we act, how we see ourselves, our self esteem that will affected future generations.

Compliments with a negative... or cover it up as a joke on someone. That is not a sincere compliment because you are giving and taking back at the same time. You leave people feeling good but end up feeling bad. Words of provocation, negativity, harshness, words that mean to manipulate... all these are used without much thought and ... how it can affect others.

Putting people on pedestal. No one is perfect, we all make mistakes. We need to forgive and realized that some leaders are not the perfect, they sometimes say the wrong thing They are doing the best they can. We need to think for ourselves and never put people on pedestal because you end up being disappointed when they make mistakes.

Wisdom: My Mom always said: take what you need to grow and forget the rest of the garbage. I can tell you as I grow up, she is right on!
