This short video clip shows how branding make us want to owned the product/ service and to belong to a certain class. We certainly can be aware of what advertising is doing to us. I think if we like a certain product/service and is worth the money, I think we should go for it. To buy something because we want to belong in a group, is something I do not believe in. It is the herd mentality. You are not thinking for yourself. You are letting others dictate who you are and your lifestyle.
Being in the group feels safe and accepted. However, it is better to be open minded to different groups as there are more than one way of thinking. Isn't it better to have a variety options to choose from and select the best ones for you and your life?
