It is tough when you are working to make ends meet and when someone is needy and you miss meeting their needs. I think that is when the trouble starts. Misunderstandings and the lack of "doing" what the other wants and needs.
Isn't that what love is all about? Giving... to each other? It is a fine balance, planning and scheduling to make the adventure happen?
I can bet that all relationships get real fiery with passion in the beginning, and fizzles out in the end. To make it last is the toughest thing to do. Sometimes it is the tribulations that make or break the relationship, not being prepared of how to handle the situation and such.
Human psychology is the most complex thing in the universe.
You would think that there are always greener pastures else where but you forget that a relationship needs to be nurtured and talked issues through with open attitudes and not close thinking, that we are always right kind of attitude. That is why open communication is so important.
When you find a soul mate... keep it and hold it as tight as you can.... that is a gift!
A soul mate is one who totally understand you and both totally gel and can do things together and have fun doing it... and I mean doing yucky things that you dislike before, seems wonderful doing it with the person you love. That itself is magic. Even a mundane thing like grocery shopping is so wonderful when you are with the person you love.
Such a kind of relationship is the most precious thing. People tend to overlook and take it for granted. Such attitudes are like the beginning of cancer... that kills the "precious" feelings of love. What you say and do, being callous and mindless... can kill the love one has for each other. To be mindful is indeed a virtue.
To me, I just want to summarize that the bible is a guide to human living. It is a great resource for living. It can be summarized in one word... love: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. The power of love conquers all... I hold that dearly in my heart. Everyone can argue to the hearts turn blue... but it all boils down to one thing and that is love. This attitude is reflected in all ways of living.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
